thunderbird predates omnimix by almost three years ... maybe try sending
some anonymous messages using other clients (betterbird is also popular):

i've tested most of these extensively and still prefer 40tude dialog
over any other newsreader, including forte agent; but for "one-click"
newsgroup statistics xananews is also portable and works wonderfully
