I discovered that my 7-zip was updated by Microsoft Windows 10.
I never updated my 7-zip after first installation in summer 2022.
After some news about a 7-zip vulnerability I went to see what
version I had and I discovered that my 7-zip was the last version
disposable, 24.09, installed on january 8, 2025.
But I never did it.
I went to Manage_Computer/Event_Viewer/Windows_Registry/Applications
and I discovered that Windows Installer installed 7-zip-20.09 on january
8, 2025, two weeks ago.
Why and how Windows updated my 7-zip?
On the official site 7-zip say it hasn't an autoupdate function.

You sure you didn't do it?

Sometimes a context prompt lags and you click in the space where the box
was and a command or proc gets executed.

I have 19.00 (x64) installed on several systems, none have autoupdated.

I see on sourceforge.net that 7-zip is both as exe or msi file.
Maybe the 7-zip.msi file in some ways tell to Windows to update?

This is a reason I stayed with W7. Linux would be a better choice, but
most of my software is for windows. Gates thinks he owns the world and
can do whatever he wants, including murdering us. I also run an
Opnsense firewall with a Microsoft Telemetry BlockList to try to keep
MS out of my system.

Don't be ridiculous. An iPhone is more intrusive than Windows.
