Yes, a type1 remailer message destined to a Usenet group is doable.

Just add the Newsgroups header, and send to a mail2news gateway.

\\ From: ***@anonymous.com
\\ To: ***@dizum.com
\\ Subject: Testing Usenet posting via remailers
\\ Newsgroups: alt.testing

When replying to someone elses newsgroup post do it the same way, but
also remember to add an addition header. The References header:

\\ From: ***@anonymous.com
\\ To: ***@dizum.com
\\ Subject: Re: Testing newgroup posting via remailer
\\ Newsgroups: alt.testing
\\ References: <7904512024.message.id.of.original.post.goes.here>

Good luck.

Anon-Post-To: newsgroup, instead of Anon-To: email, IIRC.

Send an email to a mail2news gateway, like ***@dizum.com or ***@dizum.com

If you want to be anonymous, prepend the following headers to your message,
and encrypt it with Dizum's PGP key, and send it to ***@dizum.com:

::
Anon-To: ***@dizum.com

##
Newsgroups: group1,group2,group3,group4,group5
References:

Message body goes here.

N.B.: remove space, so indented copy if flush with the left margin.

If you don't care about being anonymous, just send an email with the Subject:, Newsgroups:, and References: headers to ***@dizum.com or ***@dizum.com
